Today I want to talk about contact lenses. I’ve been wearing them for years, and I used to buy them at the doctor’s office for something like $100 a box. One day a few years ago it occurred to me I might be able to buy them online. After all, just about everything sells online these days, so why not soft contact lenses? Therefore, I went ahead and Googled “Contact Lenses.”
To my surprise, there were tons of stores in the results, and what’s more, they were selling my lenses for about half the price I ordinarily pay. Needless to say I jumped on board. One thing you do need to make sure if you order lenses online is that you keep your old box so you know what strength and base curve to input on the order screen. You will also need to know the name and location of the optometrist where you had your last eye exam.
I’ve used at least a half dozen different online contact lens stores. Over the years, the store that I’ve come to like the most is Lens.com. The reason for this is that you can use Visual Discount’s Lens.com coupon to save 15 – 25% on contacts you buy at Lens.com. Mind you, this is on top of already pretty low prices. I think the most popular store out there, however, is 1800-contacts. They have some partnership with Walmart, but I’ve found they are not the cheapest. For me personally, using a lens.com coupon has worked out the best for me.
Of course, you will probably find your own online contact lens retailer that you prefer to use. Whatever store you choose, chances are good that you’ll be able to find an online coupon for it as long as you visit coupon websites like VisualDiscount.com.
